Afterbloom

Terms of use

Effective September 2, 2026

These are the terms for using the Afterbloom app. Plain language on purpose; the plain reading is the intended one.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. You may only bring conversations you took part in yourself.

What Afterbloom is, and isn't

Afterbloom finds patterns in your text messages and offers a 90-day program for getting over a breakup. It is not therapy, medical care, or a clinical assessment, and nothing in it is a diagnosis of you or anyone else. It will never advise you to reconcile or to contact your ex. If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988.

Your texts

How we handle them is in the privacy policy, and that policy is part of these terms. In one line: we never keep your texts.

Paying

Purchases are made through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. The weekly plan renews until you cancel it in your Apple subscription settings. One-time purchases don't renew. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com; we never contest a refund request.

Accuracy

Text recognition and analysis can be wrong. Cards show what the texts support and say so when the evidence is thin. Don't make decisions about another person on the basis of an Afterbloom card alone.

Your account and content

There is no account. Your data lives on your phone. Deleting the app deletes it.

Liability

Afterbloom is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the app will tell you before the change applies to you.
